Training on psycho-emotional resilience in Irpin: supporting women and girls in challenging times.
On July 18 and 19, an important training session was held in Irpin for IDP women and those affected by the war — “From fatigue to resource: how to take care of yourself without guilt.”
The event took place in the cozy space of the Irpin City Library (3A Shevchenko Street) and brought together nearly 30 participants who were looking for support, recovery, and new tools for self-care.
The training was conducted by Olena Chornomorets, an experienced psychologist who specializes in psycho-emotional support for women.
Over two days, participants worked on topics such as emotional resilience, recovery from traumatic events, burnout, inner leadership, and self-help skills.
Why is this important?
The Irpin community is currently a refuge for a large number of internally displaced persons. Many women and girls have lost their homes, familiar surroundings, and support. In such conditions, it is extremely important to have a space for safe recovery, communication, and emotional resources. This training provided just such a space.
Participants learned about the concept of psycho-emotional resilience, how to find inner support, recognize burnout, use breathing and body practices, work with emotions, and form a circle of support.
The atmosphere of mutual respect, trust, and understanding created the conditions for deep work and recovery. Each participant was able to follow her own path — from fatigue to resourcefulness.
We thank everyone who helped organize the event, the active representatives of the IDP association of the Irpin community
