Women’s Congress in Krakow

📣 The 18th Women’s Congress took place in Krakow—this year under the slogan “Democracy. Equality. Solidarity.” Iryna Orel, program director of the Association of Women Abmassadors of Ukraine, joined this international gathering of women leaders, civil society activists, politicians, and experts.

During the Congress, participants from Poland, Ukraine, and other countries discussed issues of democracy, geopolitics and security, economic participation, education, climate, digital technologies, and artificial intelligence. Importantly, the issue of women’s participation and leadership in shaping decisions and driving social change featured prominently in all these discussions.

🌍 For the Association of Women Abmassadors of Ukraine, participating in such international forums is an opportunity to be part of a broader European dialogue on women’s leadership, equality, and influence. Such meetings allow for the exchange of experiences, the strengthening of partnerships with women’s organizations in other countries, and the representation of Ukraine’s experience and the voices of Ukrainian women on the international stage.

A separate topic discussed at the Congress was the future of Ukraine and Europe and the role of women in shaping it. This is particularly important for Ukrainian women—after all, their participation in decision-making, public life, the economy, and international dialogue is an integral part of Ukraine’s future.
