🔴 🔴 As part of the Skills4Recovery Multi-Donor Initiative, Women’s Communities—support, development, and networking groups for women and girls—have begun their activities.
✔️ This creates a safe and inclusive space where participants can share their experiences, receive emotional support, gain new knowledge, access mentorship, and find opportunities for professional development. Women’s communities help foster an environment of trust in which women support one another, share skills and success stories, and work together to overcome barriers and gender stereotypes on the path to self-fulfillment and employment.
✔️ These communities bring together women with diverse life and professional experiences: those who already run their own businesses or are pursuing a career path, those who are just planning their professional development, as well as women who need support, motivation, or new opportunities. Participants from different regions of Ukraine join these communities, which helps strengthen interregional cooperation, facilitate the exchange of experiences, and build a broader support network for women.
✔️ Currently, the Women’s Associations are active in 23 institutions, including 18 employment centers and 5 vocational and technical education institutions.
✔️ The communities’ activities include online and in-person meetings, mentoring, training, exposure to traditionally male-dominated professions, involvement of female experts, leadership skills development, and the creation of a network connecting participants from different regions. Particular attention is paid to overcoming gender stereotypes in the professional sphere and broadening perceptions of career opportunities for women.
✔️ As part of the Women’s Associations’ activities, the gamified tools “Anti-Stereotype” and “Career Shift” are also being implemented to help participants rethink their professional roles, explore their own strengths, develop decision-making skills, and discover new opportunities for professional development and employment.
🤝 It is important that the activities of these communities are based on the principles of solidarity, inclusivity, collaboration, and the empowerment of women.
Women’s groups are not just about professional development. They are about building a community where every woman can be heard, feel supported, gain confidence in her own abilities, and have the opportunity to shape her own future.
🖇 The project “Women’s Participation in the Labor Market: Personalized and Gender-Sensitive Employment Services” is being implemented by the NGO “Association of Women Abmassadors of Ukraine” with financial support from the European Union, Germany, Poland, Estonia, and Denmark as part of the multi-donor initiative Skills4Recovery, which is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and Solidarity Fund PL (SFPL).
