The first phase of the «Women’s Participation in the Labor Market» project

The first phase of the project “Women’s Participation in the Labor Market: Personalized and Gender-Sensitive Employment Services” has been completed. During this period, the team worked to strengthen the capacity of professionals who provide services in the areas of vocational training, career counseling, and employment, as well as to create opportunities for women themselves to receive support, develop professional skills, and find new career opportunities.

❓ What was achieved during the first phase:
🔹 40 training sessions were conducted for professionals. A total of 711 people participated in the training.
🔹 23 women’s communities were established at vocational and technical education institutions and employment services. Approximately 1,500 women attended the communities’ events.
🔹 Two gamified tools were developed:
– “Anti-Stereotype: A Game for Professionals” – for service providers;
– “Career Turnaround” – for women.
🔹 Four METHODOLOGICAL GUIDES (https://w-ambassadors.org.ua/manuals/) were developed to help implement a personalized and gender-sensitive approach to employment services:
– “Tool for Assessing Women’s Needs in the Labor Market” – for identifying individual needs and selecting appropriate services;
– “Methodological Recommendations on Referral Mechanisms and Action Algorithms for Providing Career Case Management Services” – for effectively referring women to assistance and support services;
– “Methodological Recommendations on the Use of Gender-Balanced (Inclusive) Job Openings” – for working with job openings using personalized and gender-sensitive approaches;
– “Interview Simulation Tools” – for preparing different target groups of women for job interviews.

All of these resources have a practical goal: to make vocational training, career counseling, and employment services more responsive to women’s individual needs and the specific circumstances of their lives.
Women’s communities have become an important part of the project—spaces where women can access information, share experiences, find support, and learn about opportunities for training, employment, and professional development.
The first phase is complete, but the work continues.
