The team of the NGO “Association of Women Ambassadors of Ukraine” held an important meeting with Olga Katan, a prominent public figure, PhD in Political Science, and one of the founders of the gender equality movement in Ukraine.
Ms. Katan is the head of the NGO “Women of Ukraine of the XXI Century”, a member of the NGO “Kyiv Volunteer Forum”, and was awarded the Order of Princess Olga of the III degree for her active work in supporting women’s rights. Her contribution to the development of gender equality in Ukraine cannot be overestimated, as her efforts have made it possible to launch and develop a number of initiatives aimed at improving the position of women in society.
During the meeting, Olga Katan shared her valuable experience and spoke about the history of the gender movement in Ukraine, as well as current challenges and opportunities for further progress. They also discussed the importance of strengthening cooperation between organizations to achieve common goals.

Olga Veselovska, Head of the Association of Women Ambassadors of Ukraine, and Olga Katan signed a memorandum of cooperation between the organizations. This is an important step towards the implementation of joint initiatives aimed at promoting gender equality and supporting women in all spheres of life.
Within the framework of the signed document, the parties identified several key areas for further cooperation: supporting women in politics and public life, ensuring women’s rights and combating discrimination, and participating in global initiatives aimed at improving the status of women. This memorandum is an important step towards joint achievements in the area of gender equality and support for women’s rights.
