AWAU participates in strategic dialogue on supporting young veterans and internally displaced persons

Olga Veselovska, chair of the Association of Women Ambassadors of Ukraine, took part in a strategic event on supporting young people affected by war
On June 16, a public discussion of the initiative “Chance for Life and Development” took place at Ukrinform (Kyiv) — the start of work on the creation of a preferential credit program for housing for young veterans, IDPs, and foreigners who defended Ukraine in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The event was attended by representatives of civil society, government agencies, IDPs, and veterans.
Among the guests was Olga Veselovska, head of the Association of Ambassadors of Ukraine, who commented on the importance of cross-sectoral cooperation and advocacy for the interests of affected communities.

The program under discussion is aimed at young people aged 21–35 and provides for:
interest-free loans,
minimal or zero down payments,
participation of local communities in co-financing.
The goal is to support the socio-economic situation of young people, develop communities, and stabilize the demographic situation in Ukraine.

The event was initiated by the Youth Council of National Communities of Ukraine, the Institute for Political Studies, and the Association of Young IDPs.
