Cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine

We are starting cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine on the implementation of the National Strategy for Bridging the Gender Pay Gap for the period up to 2030.

In close cooperation with the Ministry’s Employment Department, Olga Veselovska, Head of the Association of Women Ambassadors of Ukraine, will be responsible for developing a methodology for gender-neutral job evaluation, which will become the basis for providing recommendations to Ukrainian business and trade unions to ensure transparency in gender pay.

Why is it important?

The Association of Women Ambassadors of Ukraine believes that one of the main prerequisites for women’s economic empowerment is equality of rights, including the right to receive an equivalent level of pay for similar work or work of equal value between women and men.

This, in turn, echoes and is directly related to another strategic document “The Strategy of Demographic Development of Ukraine until 2040”.

One of the strategy’s objectives is to activate the maximum number of citizens who can work in the labor market.
