During the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2024), which took place on June 11-12, 2024 in Berlin, high-ranking officials of the governments of Ukraine and Germany announced the launch and signed documents on several significant initiatives that form a comprehensive assistance package for the development of a modern and sustainable infrastructure to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Ukraine.
Ukraine and Germany proposed to strengthen international support for Ukrainian SMEs by establishing an Alliance.
Together with 12 other countries and 17 development institutions and international organizations, they launched the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SME) Resilience Alliance for Ukraine, which aims to make Ukrainian SMEs more resilient during the war and ready for reconstruction and recovery.
Association of Women Ambassadors of Ukraine was invited to join the Friends of the SME Resilience Alliance for Ukraine cohort, which, together with stakeholders and partners, mobilizes support in three areas:
1. Reforming Ukraine’s SME policy.
2. Improving the institutional framework, including the transformation of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund into a strong and reliable Ukrainian development financial institution to support economic recovery.
3. Providing financing to SMEs.
The AAU team joins the work of the Alliance and the implementation of the action plan.Contacts
