Extended meetings of the Coordination Council on Preventing and Combating Domestic Violence

As part of the nationwide campaign “16 Days Against Violence” in four cities of Ukraine: Khmelnytskyi, Odesa, Konotop, and Bila Tserkva, extended meetings of the Coordination Council on Preventing and Combating Domestic Violence were held to strengthen cooperation between all stakeholders and ensure an even more robust and effective system for responding to cases of domestic violence.

During the meetings, the experience of developing a system for preventing and combating domestic violence in communities was presented, and strategic priorities and challenges in this area were discussed.
Konstantin Boichuk, head of the Cities and Communities Free from Domestic Violence project, emphasized that “It is interagency cooperation that allows us to build a comprehensive system of assistance to victims and respond promptly to cases of violence.”
The meetings were attended by representatives of a wide range of institutions and organizations involved in the formation and implementation of policies in the field of preventing and combating domestic violence, including representatives of city authorities, social services, law enforcement agencies, health and education institutions, public organizations, and specialized services working in the field of combating violence.
Based on the results of the meetings, decisions were made to further improve cooperation between stakeholders, strengthen preventive work, and ensure ongoing support for victims.
