Meeting between representatives of Ukrainian women’s civil society organizations and a delegation from the European Women’s Lobby (EWL) and the Latvian National Coordination

Iryna Orel, a representative of the Association of Ukrainian Women Ambassadors, took part in a meeting between representatives of Ukrainian women’s civil society organizations and a delegation from the European Women’s Lobby (EWL) and the Latvian National Coordination.

🤝 The European Women’s Lobby is the largest network of women’s organizations in Europe, uniting over 2,000 organizations and working to promote women’s rights, gender equality, and greater participation of women in public and political life.
The meeting served as a forum for open dialogue about the challenges Ukrainian women and women’s organizations face today, their role in confronting the full-scale war, and their participation in Ukraine’s recovery.

Key topics included support for internally displaced women, women veterans, women in rural communities, and Ukrainian women living abroad; international advocacy; representing the voices of Ukrainian women at the European level; and opportunities to strengthen cooperation between Ukrainian and European women’s organizations.

🤝 For the Association of Ukrainian Women Ambassadors, such meetings are an opportunity to expand international partnerships, represent the voices of Ukrainian women, exchange experiences, and contribute to shaping a common European agenda.
Strengthening ties between Ukrainian and European women’s organizations is a crucial component of building a strong, inclusive, and sustainable Ukraine.
