The training project “Strengthening the capacity of CSOs to provide psychosocial support, counteract GBV and prevent professional burnout” is being implemented as part of the project “Psychosocial Support for IDP Women and Girls and People with Disabilities”. This is a special initiative for women’s civil society organizations (CSOs) working with IDPs and people with disabilities. The project is implemented by the NGO “Association of Women Ambassadors of Ukraine” together with partners.
The goal is to strengthen the capacity of women’s CSOs to provide quality psychosocial assistance and counteract gender-based violence (GBV) among their beneficiaries, as well as to support the emotional health of their teams.
A total of 66 participants from 22 non-governmental organizations were selected to participate in the project.
The project will include:
- Individual psychological support (if necessary).
- Trainings on practical skills: communication, financial, career, etc.
- Development of leadership skills.
- Training on prevention and counteraction to GBV.
- Training on burnout prevention.
- The training will be held in online and offline formats.
Upon completion of the TRAINING program, 6 organizations will receive sub-grants to strengthen their capacity in the field of psychosocial support and prevention of GBV.
The project “Psychosocial support for IDP women and girls and people with disabilities” is implemented by the ICF “Nova Kakhovka is Ukraine” in partnership with the NGO “Association of Ambassadors of Ukraine” with the technical support of UN Women in Ukraine and with funding from the UN Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), a flexible and responsive funding instrument that supports quality interventions to increase the capacity of local women to prevent conflict, respond to crises and emergencies, and use key peacebuilding opportunities.
