Training on “Case Management for Cases of Gender-Based Violence”

📚 We are strengthening the capacity of professionals in the field of responding to gender-based violence. On June 10–12, 2026, a specialized training session titled “Case Management of Gender-Based Violence Cases” was held in Kyiv, organized by the United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine (UNFPA Ukraine) with the support of the NGO “Association of Women Abmassadors of Ukraine” and funded by the European Union’s humanitarian aid program.
The training was attended by new case managers from offices addressing gender-based and domestic violence, as well as outreach workers who already have practical experience working with survivors and seek to deepen their knowledge and skills.
📋 Over the course of three days, the participants explored key aspects of case management for cases of gender-based violence—from the initial contact with the survivor to planning support, providing follow-up, and closing the case. Particular attention was paid to the principles of safe and ethical practice, communication with survivors, referrals to necessary services, cross-sectoral collaboration, and current legislation on combating gender-based violence.
Participants also examined the specifics of mobile and remote case management, working with members of vulnerable groups, record-keeping, and preventing professional burnout.
