Hands-on workshops for case managers, doctors, and midwives at medical facilities in Odesa

ℹ️ Practical workshops titled “Medical and Social Aspects of Accessible Gynecology Clinics” are currently being held in Odesa for case managers, doctors, and midwives at medical facilities that operate accessible gynecology clinics.
These workshops are extremely important because they help strengthen collaboration between healthcare professionals and case managers in providing assistance to survivors of gender-based and domestic violence. Participants discuss the challenges they face in their daily work, share practical experiences, and develop joint response protocols and approaches to supporting women.
☑️ The workshop program combines lecture-based, hands-on, and interactive modules focused on the work of the Gynecologic Cancer Center, patient referral procedures, effective communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
☑️ An important part of the training involved visits to medical facilities in Odesa that have barrier-free gynecology clinics. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the operations of the city’s gynecology clinics, discuss real-life cases, and exchange experiences with the on-site teams.
🖇 The training is conducted by the United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine (UNFPA Ukraine) with organizational support from the NGO “Association of Women Abmassadors of Ukraine” and is funded as part of the European Union’s humanitarian aid program.
