Training Sessions on “Women’s Participation in the Labor Market”

    Поділитися матеріалом

ℹ️ On May 4, a series of five two-day training sessions began to prepare facilitators for the “Career Turnaround” game as part of the project “Women’s Participation in the Labor Market—Personalized and Gender-Sensitive Employment Services.”

The expert group has developed a game that helps women broaden their understanding of their own professional potential—particularly in so-called “male-dominated” professions—and promotes informed career choices based on personal competencies, interests, and labor market realities. The game is based on the principle of learning by doing: participants do not receive ready-made instructions but instead experience typical work scenarios, make decisions, communicate, make mistakes, and receive immediate feedback. This allows them not only to understand what to say but also to experience how to act in real-life interactions.

🧩 The game is based on situations typical of entering new or non-traditional professions for women: roles in manufacturing, technology, logistics, agriculture, and the service industry. Special emphasis is placed on communication in the workplace—interactions with management, colleagues, and clients.

During the training sessions, specialists and officials will receive game kits and will use the game at employment service branches and vocational and technical education institutions as an additional tool for career counseling, as well as within the women’s communities established in 23 regions of Ukraine.

🗳️We also invite interested women to register to participate in the “Career Turnaround” business game as participants. You’ll be able to join the game during the trainer workshops and try your hand at traditionally “male” professions. Challenge yourself in a new role without fear of stepping into an unconventional field.

The training sessions will take place in Kyiv and Lviv—on the dates specified in the registration form: Link

🖇 The project “Women’s Participation in the Labor Market: Personalized and Gender-Sensitive Employment Services” is being implemented by the NGO “Association of Women Ambassadors of Ukraine” with financial support from the European Union, Germany, Poland, Estonia, and Denmark as part of the multi-donor initiative Skills4Recovery, which is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and Solidarity Fund PL (SFPL).
